I’ve been photographing Thomas and his family since 2009 and his mom is the first one to believe in my photography business enough to offer to pay for their session after a year of portfolio building! This summer is full of pinch-me moments for this precious class of 2020 because I’ve been photographing some of their families since the very beginning!! Thomas will be a graduate of Roosevelt next spring and for a family who has been born and raised in Des Moines, they couldn’t be prouder that Thomas is graduating from his Grandma Rose’s alma mater. We did our first stop at the Art Center but the bug pestered us enough that we escaped to Roosevelt campus and we took in all we could of the architecture that is one of the oldest high schools in Des Moines:
There’s a walking bridge right next to Roosevelt with a whole different kind of architecture and we used it to our advantage as well, leveraging the setting sun at the same time:
Thomas & Miriam (& Sean): Thank you so much for believing in me and supporting me all these years! I can’t believe Thomas is graduating this school year and we’ve done his senior photos-that’s just nuts to me. Your family is such a blessing to mine and I’m forever thankful you’re in our lives!
All the best on this school year!
