Juvie : Class of 2025

A very quick turn-around from booking phone call to photo session time, but Juvie had it all together for an incredible way to round out my summer shooting season. She has an incredible family full of strong women who care with their whole hearts. I got to meet her mom, her grandma, and her sweet pup, Molly in our two hours together and it truly was such a sweet, easy, breezy photo shoot! Juvie stayed barefoot for most of it if that is any indication of just how laid back this senior is!

You’ll notice in a few of her photos that we highlighted a tattoo on her forearm. When the timing in conversation is right, I like to learn the stories behind people’s tattoos and Juvie’s is in honor of her grandfather who died of COVID on Aug. 30, 2020. You’ll see the Roman numerals for that date: VIII - XXX - MMXX.

We brought in docile Molly for a few, knowing she’d get a workout in at our other location :)

We headed out to Maffitt and as we were making our way there, I could tell the sun glow was going to be AHHHHH-mazing!!

Throughout our time together, I felt the need grow to give Juvie everything I could in her imagery. Don’t get me wrong, I feel this way about each of my seniors, but something was telling me to do something even more. When we got to the beach that would be our last location, I looked at the glowy sunset and then looked to our left. I tried to hide a sharp inhale, but also asked Juvie, “Would you like the sun or the moon….first?” We were literally able to give this young lady the SUN. AND. THE. MOON. Talk about a knock out way to end the summer shooting season!! Only appropriate because I felt like I was photographing a goddess…..

Juvie, Theresa & Grandma - Thank you for sharing so much of your family with me. I’m thankful for your support of my small business, but even moreso, I feel like I gained authentic friends during this shoot. What a gift this camera has given me to lead me to your sweet trio.

I wish you all the best of everything. Even the sun & the moon.
