Kaylee : Class of 2026
Corvettes, Clouds & Controlled Chaos | Kaylee’s Senior Session
Kaylee is the kind of senior who shows up calm and composed—even with a full entourage cheering her on. Her mom, stepmom, dad, and two half-sisters were there for her session, and their energy made the whole evening feel like a celebration. She handled it all like a pro.
She’s currently pursuing her CNA certification through the University of Nebraska Omaha during her senior year of high school (yes—already!), and plans to continue her nursing education here in the Des Moines metro after graduation. She's got big goals and the determination to match.
We started her session with her late grandfather’s Corvette—a meaningful and powerful tribute. Her dad joked that while Kaylee inherited the car, he inherited the maintenance. And he’s not wrong! That engine was purring like a kitten. Kaylee tackled posing around the car (which is never easy) with grace and focus.
After heading to Indianola’s Town Square, she easily fell into more relaxed posing. As storm clouds rolled in, it was off to Lake Ahquabi—where we had just enough sunshine, a patch of sunflowers, and a few sprinkles to cool us off in the summer heat.
True to form, Lake Ahquabi flirted with rain again. (Every time I shoot there, it seems to try!) But Kaylee was flexible, cheerful, and willing to wade into grasses, water, and all the textures that make outdoor sessions so real and beautiful. She's definitely earned a post-session tick check… but also my deep admiration.
If the way she carried herself through this session is any reflection of how she’ll carry herself in a clinical setting, I’d say the nursing field is about to gain someone remarkable.
Congratulations, Kaylee—you are strong, steady, and more than ready for what’s next.
All the best,
Carrie
