God gave me a unique calling to the classroom and the camera.
Not just during photo shoots, but in the classroom, where I've been teaching for 18 years in Norwalk.
Yep, I know exactly what's stressing your senior out (even down to last Tuesday's chemistry test).
I understand how they think, their communication styles and how to help them truly relax - not just fake a smile - in front of my camera.
As a high school teacher, I know exactly how to help teens feel at ease and confident, using the creative talents God gave me to showcase the beautiful person He created them to be.
No stiff, awkward positioning. I’ll guide your senior through natural poses that capture their genuine personality and energy.
My clean photography style means no busy backgrounds competing with your senior - just beautiful, timeless portraits that keep the focus on them.
I use natural light to create that soft, authentic glow that makes your senior shine without harsh shadows or artificial lighting.
Between driving kids to activities, managing the chaos of daily life, and trying to stay ahead of the laundry, I understand how precious and fleeting these senior year milestones really are.
That's why I approach every session with the care I'd want for my own children - making sure your teen feels comfortable, confident, and celebrated.
In the classroom or behind the camera, I’ve always been here to guide, answer questions and help people shine!
currently Spanish on Duolingo and reading the latest issue of National Geographic.

Spring, for the hope of new growth
Watching a senior share their passions
My father was a photo recon pilot for the Air Force during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and he bought me my first camera to capture my sister's graduation from the Air Force Academy. Photography truly runs in my family.
I got my start when I photographed my college roommate's engagement and wedding in 2007-2008. My business grew organically when friends from church began asking me to capture their growing families.
I’ve spent more than 17 years building relationships with families (and now photographing their children's senior photos!) - but seniors have always been my favorite. As a teacher, I love learning, and every senior session teaches me something new about life and the amazing young adults in our community.
I bring the conversational warmth of someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with teenagers and the understanding of a mom who knows how important this milestone is to you. My Type A personality means every detail is planned and handled smoothly…. that's what nearly two decades in this business will do!
I know these images will become more important with every passing year and that's exactly why I put so much thought and care into capturing who your teen truly is right now.

Carrie took the time to pre-plan all the details. I felt extremely prepared and confident going into the session which allowed for my real personality to show."
