Class of 2021 : Ethan

I have admired this family from afar for going on 8 years. At the time that we were expecting Adelaide, we were looking for an in-home child care solution for her and Ethan’s mom, Lisa, came highly recommended. Unfortunately, at the time, she was at max capacity, but I still kept my eye on her as her sons floated in and out of the band program. She had this confidence, larger than life, personality, she was adventurous with the kids in her care & taught them well. Her own children were incredible young people, easy to talk to, all with a good head on their shoulders. Lisa floated in and out of subbing for our district & eventually found her love in the NICU department of a nearby hospital. I was thrilled when she contacted me for Ethan’s photos. The only downer? We had to wait until he was willing to cut his hair! lol :) #quarantinestruggles

Eventually, Ethan did & off we went. Even still, he gave Lisa & I a run for our money with his agility on a submerged tree trunk, and making my heart skip beats when he called out “Snake!” as we entered tall grasses. Man, I miss teaching this guy! His happy place was near the water & nature, so that’s where we started:

We next headed to a spot in what I like to call “Old Town Norwalk” and Ethan’s wise cracks continued with shorts that he claimed were too tight since he’d gained some muscle through quarantine….;) I’m fairly certain I’ve gotten to photograph the best guys in this Class of 2021 with the best sense of style & humor.

Off to the stadium where we had to mask up while on school grounds:

Anyone else jealous of folks who shine in not just one sport, but THREE?! Yeah, me too.

Ethan-It’s been a joy watching you grow into a young man! I’m so proud of your calm, gracious demeanor and how you & your group of friends have honored a peer taken too soon throughout your sessions with me. I’m in awe of how you carry yourself & your athleticism. Keep me posted on your future plans, I will always be cheering for you (though your Mama will probably drown me out on the sidelines!) :)

Be well,

Carrie
