Sean + Miriam

This week of Mother’s Day, we’re going to blow up our little corner of the internet with family sessions that focus on Mom. This family was my first ever Mom to offer to pay me for my services over a decade ago! Miriam believed in me, encouraged me and has supported me throughout our friendship and as I’ve become a Mom myself. Now, her oldest, Thomas, is done with Basic Training and heading off to his first assignment in Everett, Washington on the USS Gridley DDG101. It is so surreal to me that his “little” brother Joe will be one of my #ckseniors this summer. I knew it would eventually happen, I just can’t believe we’re here!

It’s been a really cold and breezy spring. If Spring had a theme in central Iowa, it would be MOODY. Mainly cold, with a hot flash that provided a tornado going 2 blocks south of our house in MARCH. Mood swings have abounded, but as long as it’s not pouring rain, I will get out and photograph my clients. With Baby Six on the way, there isn’t a lot of margin for rescheduling this season! I am so thankful for understanding clients and friends who are ready to hang, relax those shoulders down and act like it’s warmer than it actually is!

Sean + Miriam : Thank you for your trust in me all these year. I stare at your photos now and just shake my head. I honestly can’t believe we’re at this stage with the boys *ahem* young men!

Ya done good ‘rents!

All the best and fair winds Thomas,

Carrie
