Natalie : Class of 2024

When I get to photograph a former band student that I taught in middle school, it is always a “pinch me” moment. I still see Natalie with flute in hand, vivacious and smiley as all get out. While I see that in front of me still, we’ve traded the flute for a guitar and skipped the braces phase. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Tim, Natalie’s dad, directly on a couple of committees at work and when I was Communications Coordinator for our district. This family also has a killer taste in music, so when Tim was driving our entourage and playing DJ, I knew we were in for a great time. Our night was beautiful with a light breeze - we couldn’t have had a better night if we tried!

We started downtown because Natalie wanted a mix of urban and nature and we found spots that aligned with her outfit(s).

A quick outfit change and new view:

We headed back into “home base” to document Natalie’s cheerleading career as a football cheerleader. While we got started, Tim worked to figure out the new scoreboard for a request I had….see if you can find it!

We ended in the same place that we did with Natalie’s older brother Luke - at home, looking out on a gorgeous golf course as the sun set. We added in one member of the family that Natalie can’t live without: her dog Pokey, a sweet rescue with boundless energy.

Natalie, Tim & Karla - While I can’t believe we’re here again, I’m so thankful to get to photograph with your sweet family a second time! Natalie - I love that you admire your parents so much for their strength, kindness and intelligence. Any high schooler who admits their parents are smart is going to win in Life! :) While you’re the much better cheerleader, know that I’ll be cheering for you always, your senior year and beyond.

Best,

Carrie
