Anna : A Downtown Des Moines Senior Session - Class of 2024

As promised yesterday, here is Anna’s blog post for her individual portion of her session with twin sister, Katie. I struggled to decide who to post first, but since Anna is older, by a minute, I guess I’ll go that route. :) We started downtown at a few murals that the girls had scouted the week prior…

We next headed to the World Food Prize to use their gorgeous landscaping. Little did I know that I’d see Anna’s dad, Chris flaunt some moves to get laughter out of the girls while they “cat walked” for me! (See my Instagram reels for a great laugh!)

We then traveled down to Maffitt Reservoir, thinking that’d be our last stop and we’d be doing their athletic images another evening. Did I mention that Anna had ACL surgery in March? Can you tell? Neither can I! She did amazing in heels, going “off roading” as I call it, into uneven turf and climbing on pianos or tree trunks the way any other senior would! As luck would have it, we eked out a little more sunshine than we anticipated and captured a few of her soccer photos before the sun went down. We’ll do a few more athletic images when her basketball jersey comes in!

Anna - You are a lovely young lady inside and out! Thank you so much for how hard you worked for these images to get the results we both wanted. My best wishes to you on continued ACL recovery, an injury-free senior year, and all the fun that your last year of high school has to offer!

See you in a little bit when jerseys come in!
