Kaydee + Cory

I still can't believe I'm writing this post! In my heart, Kaydee is still a little sister who is getting her first job and set of wheels to get her there. I lived with Kaydee for a few months prior to getting married myself and it's hard to believe that was 9 1/2 years ago!! Now, here she is in a white dress, no longer tripping in heels (victory!) and joining her life with another as long as they both shall live. Unreal. Absolutely unreal.

You first saw Kaydee and Cory when he popped the question and wanted me there to document her reaction. Then, you saw them as a comfortably engaged couple right before my maternity leave started. Rather than wondering if they know, truly, what they were getting themselves into, I know they'll be alright because Kaydee and Cory have already experienced some hardship prior to walking down the aisle. And the way they've handled heartache or situations that might not have gone their way tells me they'll work things out beautifully, trusting God, together.

Without further adieu, let me introduce you to those victory heels of her's...

Instead of having a traditional First Look, this dear couple opted to exchange letters while they met at a corner of our church building without seeing each other. Holding hands and reassuring each other with less than an hour to go to the ceremony was enough and truly sweet to watch unfold...Then Kaydee had an official First Look with the first man she ever loved-her dear Daddy.

The sweet moments between Kaydee and her Dad, Rusty, continued as they prepared to walk down the aisle...

We headed out to Happy Apple Orchard and even though it was absolutely frigid, we couldn't turn down the opportunity that the beautiful sunset light afforded us. Thanks for braving the wintery chill everybody! I hope you feel it was worth it!!

We raced inside to warm up and prep for their Grand Entrance and even more adorable and loving moments ensued. If you look at the way Kaydee hugs people, she really HOLDS them in her arms. Her dad, Rusty, commented on that during his toast to them too. When things are good, hold her, Cory. When things are tough, hold her still. In all things, Kaydee just wants to be held, so invest in a big love seat or recliner chair and your marriage will go well! #sortakidding We all know that keeping God at your center is the crux of it all. :)

Kaydee + Cory: You guys are simply wonderful. Thank you so much for affording me the honor of playing a role in your day. I'm so excited to see what the Lord does in your future together!

Blessings in every way,

Carrie
